Luxury Retreat- Walk to Village, Lake, Ski Shuttle
Size –
2 Bedrooms • 2 Bathrooms 2 Baths • Sleeps 4-5Trendy, yet warm and welcoming cabin located right in the heart of downtown. Walk one block to everything - all the Big Bear Village restaurants, shops, lake and snowboarding/ski shuttle pickups for Snow Summit and Bear Mountain in winter season. Come and enjoy a relaxing mountain getaway in this newly updated space without the worry of having to hassle with finding parking on the mountain during busy season.
This 2 bed, 1.5 bath cabin comfortably sleeps 5-6 people with 1 queen, 1 full, and 1 twin bunk bed arrangement. It’s very well kept, maintained and cleaned with natural (non-chemical) products and essential oils. Linens, blankets, toiletries, fresh towels, laundry/dishwasher detergents, dryer sheets, and paper towels are included in each stay. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all the tools and amenities you would need to prepare meals (pots, pans, knife set, silverware, cooking/baking/bbq utensils, baking basics- hand mixer, mixing bowls, baking sheets/dishes, toaster, Ninja blender, wine/bottle opener, etc.), and the living area has a cozy gas fireplace with ample room to sit around the fire, play games and enjoy the company of loved ones.
Stocked with games, warm drinks (coffee, tea and hot chocolate), a smart TV loaded with all the popular apps, and WiFi, it’s the perfect place to retreat to for a weekend getaway. Bring your personal logins and enjoy apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, YouTube, Fandango, etc. A selection of free tv channels are provided through the Vizio TV streaming app. There’s even flour and sugar available for baking! (Be sure to account for the altitude- it affects baking temperatures and recipe ratios.)
For those who have an interest in working remotely, there’s a desk nook off the living room. There’s also a large upper deck complete with a BBQ and some adirondack chairs. You’ll even catch a peekaboo view of the lake!
You’ll find a laundry room downstairs, as well as a walkout patio off the master bedroom to enjoy the peaceful outdoors in the comfort of a backyard. Personal care items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner and a hair dryer are all provided.
The decor is trendy but also meaningful- we picked pieces we really like that speak to the atmosphere we’re trying to create. Our hope is that each person who experiences the cabin truly feels like it’s a “retreat” from the busyness of everyday life, and is able to rest, relax and rejuvenate as they breathe in the mountain air and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Guests will enjoy access to everything on the property with the exception of the downstairs hall closet, the lower pantry cabinets, and the outdoor storage shed and closet. Additionally, there are 2 parking spots in front of the house for guests to use. Cars must be parked in the driveway and not on the street, and only a maximum of 2 cars are allowed on the property.
Check in with ID is required for each guest at our team's check in location just two blocks away at CA Mountain Rentals (41036 Big Bear Blvd, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315). A team member will greet you upon arrival. Emergency/maintenance services are also available. Though we (the hosts) aren't personally on the premises, we do provide 24/7 support should you have any needs that we can help with.
Big Bear Lake is at the heart of this local mountain paradise, with a darling downtown (The Village) and access to a beautiful lake where you can boat, swim, kayak or enjoy an afternoon at the beach. Opportunities for adventure, rejuvenation, nature immersion, foodie experiences and entertainment are endless!
